By Contributor: Pooja B

To run your hand through your tresses and feel happiness, is bliss! Remember the times when even after shampoo and conditioner, you didn’t feel entirely happy. Not smooth enough, not shiny, not this and not that! Then there’s the styling, for some of us it is the “over styling”. I mean, too much heat induced activities like straightening, curling, and blow drying. The list can be endless. Then, when we found the hair serums, we knew our prayers have been answered – from controlling dry frizzy hair, to adding gloss and shine. That’s what I am going to give you today. Read about the best hair serums in India for frizzy hair. These are available online, at stores and or salons.

Best Hair Serums for Frizzy Hair Available in India

The Body Shop Grapeseed Glossing serum

This serum is ‘the solution’ for dull/frizzy hair. It smoothens the hair and gives it a natural-looking shine. A little goes a long way. It comes in a 75ml bottle and costs Rs. 995 But it’s worth the price since it can last for more than 3 to 4 months. My personal favorite too! I have the most unruly hair in this world (yes! I totally believe this to be true). This serum makes me happy, very happy!

L’Oreal Paris Professional x-tenso (care intense Nutrive shine) serum

If you are like me and have straightened your hair multiple times, for years now, you might know what am talking about. It’s very important to use the right products for your straightened hair, and the right serum is one such product. And this hair serum works just right! It’s perfect for straightened hair as it protects, nourishes, nurtures and keeps it – well – straight! It comes with a grey pump (that turns to lock and unlock), which costs Rs. 550 for a 50ml bottle.

Kerastase Elixir Ultime Oleo Complexe

Priced at Rs. 2300 for a 125ml bottle (steep I know!) this one is a product to love. I will tell you three reasons why this is the best hair serum! First, it works as a regular oil for oil massage, second as a heat protectant before blow drying, and third, adds shine and controls frizz. It comes in a lovely pump bottle and has four different variants, suitable for various hair types. Also has a detailed review by Anshita on VNA and the different ways she uses the Kerastase hair serum.

Matrix Biolage Deep Smoothing Serum

This serum can work wonders for your hair, giving you lively and lush tresses. Unmanageable, frizzy, entangled and dry hair – all taken care of! Costing at Rs. 275 for 100ml, this bottle of transparent liquid gives your hair a subtle shine, making it look healthy and nutritious. Goodbye, dry hair! This one’s nourished with avocado, and strengthens from the roots. I say, give it a buy!

Streax PRO Frizz-Free & Satin-Smooth Hair

This year, out of many things I want to do, one would be to color my hair. I love my best friend and my sister’s colored hair… With coloring, though, comes the risk of spoiling hair. But I think I might just go ahead and do it after I have been told and recommended the Streax PRO-Frizz-Free & Satin-Smooth Hair serum. In a 100ml bottle, costing at about Rs. 175 this serum is powered with Vitamin E that takes care of the frizz and untamed hair. On applying, it seals the silky smoothness into hair strands and smoothens rough and damaged strands. Ideal for colored hair and chemically treated hair.

Khadi Smooth and Silk Hair Serum

I know what you are thinking! This is an uncommon one. Not your regular brand or name! Yet, this is worth being in this list. The hair serum is enriched with the goodness of jojoba and almond oil which makes hair shiny, lustrous and also adds a bounce to them. What’s even better is that it reduces hair fall as it contains almond oil and nourishes hair. And guess what, your hair is also protected from UV rays and prevents split ends. For all the goodness in a 210ml bottle, you will pay Rs. 290

TIGI Bed Head Control Freak Serum Frizz

This one’s in high demand folks, and I say that because it’s usually a few days wait before it is restocked on online stores. The uniqueness of this serum is that it not only makes your tresses behave, but also doubles as a styling agent. Its consistency is gel-like and you will find it in a 250ml bottle for Rs. 900 It controls the frizz and helps straighten your curly or wavy locks. Quite a good serum for daily use.

Garnier Fructis Split-ends Bandage Serum

Bandage is an interesting term for a serum, don’t you think? In this context, maybe not. Because it’s “split end bandage” a hair woe that almost all of us have to endure (sigh!) since we all indulge in heating tools from time to time. Welcoming this serum into your hair care regime will help bandage the split ends and seal them. Can be used on damp or dry hair, and the hair frizz is controlled up to 8 hours. Not bad at all, I say! At Rs. 299 for 50ml this one’s a keeper.

Habibs Hair Serum

If you are one with very dry hair and need extra nourishment, Habibs Hair serum can be your answer. Priced at Rs. 275 for 100ml, it works to control split ends and adds the much need moisture to the hair. Add to that anti breakage, heat protectant, frizz control and NO ANIMAL TESTING (that’s kind, right).

John Frieda Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Shock Perfecting Glosser

A brown tube of excellence is what this is. The Brilliant Brunette Liquid Shine Shock Perfecting Glosser locks in split ends while adding shine to your hair, making your tresses look shiny and healthy. Comes with a super-light formula that smoothens and softens the untamed locks instantly. A 68g tube will cost Rs. 415 and is worth a buy!

Give your hair the shine, smoothness and nourishment. Let your tresses bounce, dance and swirl. Take a pick and make your hair fall in love with you, as you fall in love with your hair!

  8. GKhair serum makes the best in my opinion. Why? Because it instantly fights the hair frizz and flyaways. It creates a protective shield over each hair strand leaving a soft smooth finish. This serum is definitely the cure to a soft smooth finish. I am using it for the past couple of years and I am quite happy with the results. After using it on my hair it creates perfect shine and glow. Just love it. :) <3
